Parent Teacher Association

The PTA is a sub-group of the Parent Council. We are a group of parents, grandparents, carers, teachers, students - indeed anyone who has the best interests of our PHS youngsters at heart. We hold social and fundraising events throughout the year, as well as supporting the School with their own events such as concerts and parents' evenings.

Our aim is not just to raise money (though of course that is important). Our aim is to try and make connections across the widely dispersed PHS community. We have PTA helpers from across the school's catchment area, so joining us, even if you can only spare a few hours in the year,or just coming along to one of our meetings or events, gives you an  informal way of becoming a part of the PHS community.

The next meeting of the PTA will be held jointly with the Parent Council and PHS200 on TThursday 25th August 7pm in the Learning Resource Centre. All welcome.

One very simple way you can help the PTA is by joining our 200 Club. For only £1 a month, you can have the quarterly chance of winning  either £100, £50 or £25 - at much better odds than the lottery! All proceeds go directly towards enhancing our youngsters' education. Contact Lucy MacLennan (see "contacts" listed below)

• Musical instruments and microphones
• Floodlights
• Engineering Club kit
• Audio-visual equipment for modern languages
• Art materials
• Sports strips and equipment
• Funding towards S6 Outward Bound and S1 Residential
