Welcome to Media Studies

This course is open mainly to S6 (due to the restriction of numbers) and I am sure it is chosen as a "fun" option after the rigours of S5!

As film and television plays such a major role in our lives in terms of providing entertainment and information, it is evident that a knowledge of what makes the industry tick and an ability to read media texts are invaluable assets for our youngsters.

Though examining a wide variety of texts, using the framework of the Key Aspects of the course, hopefully the students receive such a grounding - and enjoy themselves on route.
