Standard Grade Fieldwork at Grey Mares Tail.

Another great day out this year at this amazing Scottish National Trust site. In the morning the whole group completed a guided walk by the ranger Dan Watson up to Loch Skeen, who pointed out some interesting glacial features as well as informing us about management issues and the principles behind the Scottish National Trust.

After lunch at St Mary’s Loch we went back to the Grey Mares Tail and spent the afternoon investigating river dynamics and processes.
