Facilities

The Home Economics Department can be found in the Millennium Wing of Peebles High School.  The department is well equipped with 3 Food Technology rooms and 2 Textile Technology rooms. 

The Food Technology rooms can each accommodate 20 pupils and are equipped with 10 cookers, 10 sink units and 20 units for the pupils to work at.  The rooms also have microwave ovens, a refrigerator and a dishwasher.  All other electrical equipment is held in the equipment store.

The Textile Technology rooms can also accommodate 20 pupils and are equipped with fabric, craft items, irons and a variety of different types of sewing machine.

The Department has a Dry Food Store, Cold Store, Laundry Room and IT Room, which, has 7 computers (all network linked).  This room can also be used for small group work.
