Aims and Introduction

In our teaching of Modern Languages the aims of the departments are as follows:

• To develop the ability in all our pupils to communicate as effectively as possible in the  foreign     language
  
• To learn what language is and how it works
  
• To learn about the cultures of other countries and their way of life
  
• To learn to reduce our prejudices about other countries
  
• To ensure our pupils gain the best qualifications they can at National level
