Aims and Introduction


  1. To provide resources (book, non-book and equipment) both on loan and for use in the LRC to support teaching and learning within the school at all ability levels.
  2. To ensure that resources can be easily accessed by users.
  3. To promote the LRC to staff and pupils.
  4. To contribute to learning skills development within the curriculum.
  5. To provide appropriate staff and careers areas.
  6. To maintain links with Library Headquarters and outside agencies.
  7. To provide an area conducive to independent study.
  8. To support and promote the use of information technology.

The LRC is located on the first floor of the Millennium building beside the Business Studies and the Computing departments.  There are study facilties for up to 70 users with access to 15 networked PCs.
