Overview
Pupil Support in Peebles High School is based on a House system. All members of staff have responsibilities based on the pastoral care of our students as well as focussing on progress, behaviour attendance and homework. Mr Campbell Hornell, Depute Rector, takes overall responsibility for Pupil Support matters within the school.
It allows the school, within available resources, to respond to the individual needs and support particular aptitudes and talents.
It gives each student opportunities to exercise responsible personal choice as they move through their school career. The Pupil Support Team provides necessary safeguards to ensure that choices are soundly based and lead to successful outcomes.
There are three Houses; Cademuir, Dunrig and Meldon with each House comprising a Head of House, Principal Teachers and Form Tutors.
Parents should be aware that if they have concerns regarding any aspect of school life, the first point of contact with the school regarding their son/daughter is the appropriate Caseload Teacher from the Pupil Support Team. Please visit the Caseload section to view staff caseload by class.
